Now in its 10th Year, the Independent Network Co-operative Association (INCA) recognises successes across the communications sector through its Gold awards.
Daniel Heery, from Cybermoor which has co-ordinated the 5GRIT project said “we are delighted that the efforts of the 5GRIT consortium have been recognised.”
The project has trialled new 5G technologies to deliver new services for the farming and tourism sectors, while also pushing broadband into hard to reach places. A key part of the project was to understand the new commercial models which would drive the adoption of 5G in rural areas. The project was funded by DCMS as part of the 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme.
