The Place Hub aims to increase understanding, generate immediate demand, and facilitate commercial deployments.

Following on from the success of our UK5G Vertical Campaign, we have launched a fifth hub on our website, dedicated to local authorities, regional authorities and local enterprise partnerships. It is a practical and pragmatic resource that clearly explains how you can get 5G.

Highlighting live projects and deployments that are testing the capabilities of 5G in a variety of both urban and rural places across the UK, we focus on use-cases in three clear focus areas: transport; health; and regional growth and prosperity.

But this isn’t just about telling you what you can do with 5G: knowing how to secure advanced connectivity for your place or region can be the most challenging aspect. We have, therefore, spoken to local authorities up and down the UK, hearing first-hand how they've approached digital infrastructure and connectivity programmes. Designed to be both practical and action-oriented, we have collated insights, assets and guides that can be replicated and adapted to help you on your journey to 5G. From governance approaches to advice for successfully engaging local communities and stakeholders, we have focused on four key areas: Local Community Engagement; Infrastructure; Coordination, Leadership & Execution; Procurement & Partnerships.

We know from speaking to organisations that 5G can seem complex and intimidating; this work is looking to address that.

If you have insights and learnings that could benefit others, then we’d love to hear from you! You can get in touch with us a marketing@uk5g.org
