What's been happening at 5G-ENCODE
In October, we switched on Phase One of our Industrial Private 4G Network at the world leading National Composites Centre, taking us one step closer to making the benefits of 5G a reality for UK manufacturers.
The Phase One 4G Network will be used to test the asset tracking and Augmented / Virtual Reality (AR/VR) use cases. Each use case will be tested and gather data on the network’s performance, user experience and business benefit realisation. This process will be repeated for the Phase Two 5G Network and the data between 4G and 5G will be compared and analysed.
Phase Two will install a 5G Standalone network and use network slicing and splicing to demonstrate the seamless provisioning and lifecycle management of services across private and public 5G networks.

Looking to the future
Now that we've launched our Phase One 4G network, we’ll be focused on creating and testing use cases to lay the groundwork for our Phase Two 5G Network. In the meantime, we’ll be continuing to attend industry events, broadening awareness of 5G-ENCODE and our network.
