One of a series of panel sessions looking at how 5G is developing, being utilised and what you will need to know to maximise the impact of its rollout.

This event—hosted by Jess Ellis, Head of Programme Development, DCMS—talks to place leaders about the significance of infrastructure when deploying 5G. Panellists include David Oliver, Business Development Director, AWTG; Rhys Enfield, Director of Infrastructure Acceleration, WM5G; Gareth Elliot, Head of Policy and Communications, MobileUK and Charles O'Reilly, Commercial Director, BAI Communications.

A key theme explored is organisational challenges from an authority perspective for asset owners and the people that coordinate them. Watch the video below to hear where this has been done well, in addition to several "best practice" tips.

If 4G was the mobile generation that transformed the day-to-day lives of consumers, 5G is the generation that will transform places. With its promise of greater bandwidth, greater speeds, lower latency and greater numbers of devices, 5G networks can enable more efficient and effective delivery of services, and give a productivity boost to the industries that drive regional growth and prosperity, such as manufacturing, tourism and agriculture.

Discover the live projects and deployments that are testing the capabilities of 5G in a variety of places across the UK, as well as access front-line insights about how best to approach a digital connectivity or infrastructure programme.
