In collaboration with the DCMS, Digital Catapult has launched an exciting new four-part webinar series - Industrial 5G Uncovered.

This series explores 5G innovation in manufacturing and logistics, sharing sector specific knowledge from industry and innovators, demonstrating the latest 5G-enabled solutions and debating the biggest 5G-related questions facing industry today.

The first webinar, Spotlight on Innovators, held on 19th October, featured insights on open innovation in 5G, shining a spotlight on cutting-edge and innovative solutions and approaches enabled by start-ups and scaleups participating in the Industrial 5G Testbeds and Trials programme (I5GTT), as well as those taking part in other government-funded 5G initiatives and accelerators such as 5PRING. Attendees heard from a range of innovative start-ups working with the I5GTT companies : Vivacity Labs, Attocore, Unmanned Life, Plinx and Robotiz3D, as well as a panel session of industry experts including BAM Nuttall and Ferrovial.

The second event Industrial 5G Uncovered: Spotlight on Manufacturing & Logistics was recently held on 16th November, where attendees gained insights from leading industrial 5G adopters including the National Composites Centre (5G Encode), Ford UK (5GEM), BAE Systems (5G FoF), Hutchison Ports (5G Ports) and North East Automotive Alliance (5G CAL), along with two EU-funded projects (5G-SMART and iNGENIOUS) and an opportunity for industry peers and innovators to meet in a virtual networking session sponsored by UK5G.
