Whilst we're all working through the challenges presented by Covid-19, we ask Tony Sceales, Head of 5G Testbeds and Trials Programme Development, why it's important to make time for virtual networking:
A lot of events are taking place because there's a lot happening in the UK 5G ecosystem. Those of you who have received a copy of the latest Innovation Briefing Magazine will have read about the Rural Connected Communities and Industrial 5G Testbeds and Trials - and there will be more to tell you about in issue 4 in the Autumn following last weeks 5G Create funding announcement. We're building on the lessons learned from previous projects and we're excited to see new deployment models surface, along with innovative applications to improve the case for 5G cross-sector investment across the UK.
I don't know about you, but my teams are still largely working from home which means we're not able to get out and about to network with triallists and UK5G partners face-to-face, so the increase of virtual networking especially virtual events is welcomed.
Below you will find an up-to-date list of 5G Week planned across 7th-11th September which builds on last years 5G Realised mission: to drive the business case for 5G. Hopefully you can join us for a few of them.
See you online soon,
