Latest instalment of our fortnightly editorial newsletter, which includes information about the Digital Connectivity Infrastructure Accelerator

Dear members,

It’s great to be in touch.

As for updates, it’s really exciting to see relationships between the public and private sectors booming. The DCIA programme announced last week a new £4m competition to support the Pilot phase of the project.

The programme has been designed to overcome the challenges that exist around using publicly owned infrastructure assets to support the rollout of 5G and other connectivity solutions and will play a critical role in the scaling of 5G across the UK.

UK5G held an event on behalf of DCMS yesterday explaining more about the plan to build on extensive market engagement and the development of a standardised specification for use of Digital Asset Management Platforms by places and wireless infrastructure providers. It was a brilliant turnout, and I’m sure attendees learned a lot from it.  Find out more about the competition here.

Yours sincerely,

Robert Driver, Head of UK5G
