A Swindon IET Communities talk about the AutoAir 5G testbed

A talk by: Peter Claydon. Director of 5G Research, Airspan Communication Ltd and Project Director, AutoAir and Peter Stoker, Chief Engineer, Connected and Autonomous Vehicles, Millbrook.

Autonomous Vehicles need to operate in a selfcontained manner; however, adding connectivity to the world around them enables higher safety levels and new features. The talk will describe the planned network and an introduction to current CAV testing at the Millbrook Proving Ground. It will also cover current and future methods of connecting autonomous vehicles, including overviews of the IEEE 802.11p V2X standard, LTE-V and 5G standards.

The general public are welcome to attend this event. Exempt from parking fee if you display the registration confirmation email in your car.

The event starts at 7:00 pm, with refreshments from 6:30.
