Ericsson & ABB present:
“5G for smart manufacturing – Industry and 3GPP RAN latest status”
- Christian Hoymann (Ericsson) received his diploma and doctoral degree in electrical engineering from RWTH Aachen University in 2002 and 2008, respectively. Since 2007 he has worked at Ericsson Research. As a research leader he drives the evolution of the current and next generation radio access, in both research and standardization. He is currently head of Ericsson’s 3GPP RAN delegation.
- Krister Landernäs (ABB) joined ABB Corporate research in 2006 and has more than 10 years’ experience of working with applied research. He is a principal scientist in the area of wireless communication and has worked in and lead numerous research projects. In addition, Krister has also been active in standardization and was a working member of the Wireless HART standardization. He is currently technology manager for the H2020-ICT19 project 5G-SMART and responsible for a 5G Lab collaboration with Ericsson.
