techUK will convene an industry workshop to explore the remaining technical challenges facing the telecoms sector as the Telecommunications (Security) Act 2021 commences, via a new security framework and code of practice.
Following a period of industry consultation, DCMS has confirmed a number of changes to the security regulations which come into force on 1 October 2022.
However, in its response, government was clear that there are certain elements of the Act that will require industry collaboration to avoid additional complexity and challenges for operators.
At this techUK industry event, we will convene telecoms security experts from across the sector to discuss how to this collaborative effort can be shaped to provide utmost value. We will discuss how industry can work with NCSC on remaining questions, such as Privileged Access Workstations (PAWs) to provide clarity on how PAWs can be built in line with security intent.
Our objective in this workshop is to explore how understanding can improved across the sector and beyond as this important new security framework comes into effect.
We have a limited number of non-member spaces available, and, as this event is in person only, a waiting list is in operation. If you have any questions, please get in touch with the tean below.
