From smart factories to video gaming to driverless cars, 5G has the potential to transform industry and connectivity in a way we haven’t seen before. But in order to take full advantage of the possibilities it offers, we need global collaboration and open innovation. This 5G Innovation workshop brings together experts from different ecosystems across UK and Spain to discuss and encourage collaboration in the 5G arena.
The workshop, organised by Catalonia Trade and Investment and UK Department for International Trade with the Northern Powerhouse, will explore ways in which companies can collaborate on 5G projects and help bring 5G to reality.
You will hear from six corporates from UK and Spain, as they present their 5G innovation programmes. The second half of the workshop allows you to choose between breakout sessions: OpenRan/Private networks and Emerging technologies. Experts from business and academia in UK and Spain will discuss these important topics in the context of Horizon Europe and other funding collaborations.
This will be a great opportunity for start-ups to partner up with corporates looking for 5G-enabled solutions through external innovation. If you’d like to meet one-to-one with any of the corporates presenting, you can prearrange a meeting through the following brokerage platform by the 25th of June: ise MWC-openchallenge2021. Individual meetings will take place either at MWC in Barcelona (29-30 June) or online (5-7 July).
If you are a European company with an interest in 5G collaboration projects, this workshop is not to be missed.
Full agenda and speaker details will be published shortly.
