I am seeking a research fellow to join my team for exciting Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) #5G Connected Forest project. The ~2years , £10m project will launch a testbed & trial programme to create the world’s first 5G Connected Forest at the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre, including Rufford Abbey Country Park, which are managed by the RSPB and Parkwood Outdoors on behalf of the County Council: https://lnkd.in/eEpN9JV The role will involve the design & dev of #pervasivecomputing & interactive tools to enable #VR, #ar #mr experiences for visitors. The role will also involve designing & conducting user studies, using quantitative and qualitative approaches. The fellow will be as part of my team & in collab with #NottinghamCountyCouncil & the project partners. My team focuses on designing systems for real-world use that are informed by engaging with a variety of stakeholders, centred around innovative applications for embedding smart technology in everyday environments, novel ways of communicating with the user. Annual salary > £40k depending on experience #ntu
