Kensington community event

Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care hosted a community engagement event at Liverpool’s Kensington Community Learning Centre, on October 24th. It was a chance for people living in the community, local councillors and care workers to learn about the health and social care products we are using in our 5G user trials and the 5G technology itself.

Safeguarding and care provider events

We had a good turn out from health and social care providers at our care provider event, which was designed to help us embed the technology into working practices. This approach is proven to help gain acceptance of the technology amongst users.

We are also running a safeguarding event to help educate providers and developers about their responsibilities around safeguarding issues when using people’s data in devices and applications.

Visit from Korea’s 5G Forum

Professor Lee from South Korea’s 5G forum met with Professor Joe Spencer, of Liverpool University, who is Liverpool 5G’s project lead.

Professor Lee attended our care provider event where he gave a presentation about how 5G is being harnessed in South Korea, potential collaboration and partnership work and his particular areas of interest: smart cities, buildings and smart safety.

User trials

Liverpool 5G Health and Social Care is now working towards user trials and identifying specific cohorts to take part in specialised trials for different user cases.
